Ms. Alex
OTD, OTR/L
Pediatric Occupational and Feeding Therapist
Alex has a deep affection for working with children and she strives to be someone who 'little alex' needed growing up. Navigating childhood with ADHD & sensory sensitivities, Alex knows firsthand how important OT/PT/ST therapies are for children. Experiencing feeding struggles due to her vaulted palate and posterior tongue tie motivated her further specialization. She has worked with children since high school as a babysitter, a nanny through college, attained certifications for CrossFit kids & KidStrong after undergrad & was a certified RBT (registered behavior technician) before returning to school to attain her Doctorate in OT. She has worked in Adult Inpatient Rehab, Day Neuro, Outpatient pediatrics & Home Health pediatrics with a focus on feeding and sensory integration. She is a firm believer that children are natural scientists -- coming into the world ready to experiment & learn through play. Children use what they discover to not only adapt the structure of their brains, but also to strengthen the skills they need to continue to be lifelong learners. She is determined to aid children in doing what they do best; be curious!
