Ms. Selby
MOT, OTR/L
Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Selby has always had a passion for working with children and their families to help them realize what they’re capable of since she was young. She has been teaching martial arts to all ages and diagnoses since she was 10 years old. Through her experience in teaching and practicing martial arts, she discovered her love for helping individuals accomplish their goals, especially the goals that seemed too challenging. During her time at University of Florida, Selby began observing occupational therapy sessions in the pediatric outpatient setting with children diagnosed with ASD, Down syndrome, and ADHD among other diagnoses, and became hooked on how OT can help children and their families. In OT school, she worked with her classmates in a Pro-Bono Clinic to help children in her community who did not have access to OT, receive the testing and treatments that they needed to be successful in their unique environments. Selby’s favorite part of occupational therapy is the ability to work with the strengths of the individuals and their families to help them realize the great things they are capable of!
